Agronomist, Operations Manager

- Identify packhouses in the Western Cape region.

- Purchase apples, pears and kiwi and negotiate prices.

- Identify, contract and supervise local farmers to source high-quality fruit.

- Ensure shipping of packed fruit to overseas markets.

- Work with logistics partners for timely, cost-effective transportation.

- Manage and optimise logistics operations for seamless supply chain processes.

- Collaborate with suppliers, distributors and internal teams on quality and delivery timelines.

- Monitor operational performance and identify improvements.

- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

- Develop strategies to enhance operational efficiency.

- Supervise and support team members; prepare operational performance reports.

- Oversee inventory management and stock control.

- Degree or qualification in logistics, supply chain management or a related field.

- Proven experience in the agriculture industry, particularly logistics or operations management.

- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret operational data.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Proactive problem-solving and decision-making.

- Based in the Western Cape.

- Background in agriculture or farming.

- Knowledge of industry regulations and logistics best practices.
