Job Overview

Clinix Health Group (CHG) — a South African private hospital group that owns and manages six hospitals, employs roughly 2,600 people and provides quality, affordable healthcare to the communities it serves — is appointing a Chief of Staff at its Group Head Office in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

The Chief of Staff is a strategic advisor and trusted partner to the CEO, driving execution of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, governance priorities, performance management, executive decision-making, stakeholder engagement and business transformation. The role is the bridge between the CEO, the Executive Committee, the Board, hospital leadership teams and key stakeholders, making sure strategic objectives are translated into operational outcomes.

Suited to a senior strategy, consulting or executive-office leader with 8–10 years' experience, at least five years supporting executive teams and/or Boards, and a proven record of leading strategic and business transformation — ideally in healthcare or another highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor implementation of CEO- and Board-approved strategic priorities across the Group

• Act as trusted advisor to the CEO, providing strategic analysis, insights and decision support

• Drive alignment and execution of strategic initiatives across hospitals, support services and corporate functions

• Develop and monitor executive performance dashboards, scorecards and business performance reviews

• Coordinate Executive Committee, Board and governance activities, ensuring resolutions and action items are implemented

• Lead and support strategic projects, business transformation and organisational change initiatives

• Build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders

• Prepare executive reports, presentations, business cases and governance documentation

• Monitor strategic risks, identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Healthcare Management, Law, Public Administration or a related field

• MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification advantageous; PMP/Prince2/Agile and corporate governance qualifications advantageous

• 8–10 years' experience in strategy, consulting, business performance, executive support or senior leadership roles

• 5+ years supporting Executive Leadership teams and/or Boards

• Proven track record leading strategic and business transformation initiatives

• Strong stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, governance and board reporting experience

• Healthcare or other highly regulated industry experience advantageous
