Principal: TMT & Digital Infrastructure Finance
Job Overview
Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking is hiring a Principal in its TMT (Technology, Media & Telecoms) and Digital Infrastructure Finance team in Johannesburg. The role exists to maximise sustainable revenue by originating and implementing profitable specialised debt-financing transactions across South African and international sectors — think data centres, fibre networks, towers and other digital infrastructure.
You will own deals end to end: scanning the market and pitching ideas, structuring, analysing and negotiating transactions, running the credit-approval process (rating, pricing and credit applications), and managing implementation through legal documentation and conditions precedent. Post-close, you will manage ongoing risk through annual reviews, performance and undertaking monitoring, and client visits.
Suited to a CA(SA), CFA or master's-qualified dealmaker with 8–12 years' relevant sector or industry experience who can build deep internal and external networks, coach junior team members, and contribute to non-deal projects and process improvements.
