Senior Finance Manager

Financial management & reporting: Lead monthly management accounts, financial reports and year-end packs; ensure accuracy and integrity of financial information; oversee month-/quarter-/year-end close; review balance-sheet reconciliations, journals and controls.

Budgeting, forecasting & analysis: Drive annual budgeting and forecasting; monitor performance vs budget with variance analysis; deliver insights and recommendations to executives; support decisions through financial modelling and business analysis.

Manufacturing & operational finance: Oversee inventory, stock control, production costing and manufacturing financial reporting; analyse plant performance, costs, margins and profitability; identify cost-reduction and process improvements; maintain robust costing methodologies and inventory controls.

Compliance, audit & governance: Ensure IFRS, tax and statutory compliance; manage VAT, PAYE, corporate tax and regulatory submissions; lead internal and external audits; strengthen internal financial controls and governance.

Leadership & partnering: Partner operations, production, procurement and executives; lead and mentor finance team members; support expansion and operational-improvement projects across Africa with travel to regional operations as required.

BCom Honours in Accounting, Finance or related (essential); CA(SA), CIMA or other postgraduate finance qualification advantageous. Minimum 8–10 years’ relevant financial management experience, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG, industrial, engineering or production. Strong management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis; sound manufacturing costing, inventory and operational finance; advanced Excel and ERP; experience managing and developing finance teams; valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within Africa.
