Job Overview

A Graph Intelligence and AI platform company focused on analysing complex data relationships in real time is hiring a high-energy Senior Full Stack Developer in Cape Town. You will own end-to-end application delivery—architecture, databases, APIs, and client-facing solutions—while partnering closely with product, data science, and client technical teams.

This mid-senior role suits someone with deep Java / OOP full-stack experience who can move independently across graph databases, NoSQL, streaming middleware, and REST services. You will technically lead client solutions, support sales and delivery, and represent the organisation with external stakeholders when needed.

Compensation on the listing is R1.44m–R1.68m per annum (market-related for senior Cape Town engineering). Ideal for builders who thrive with minimal supervision and can quickly navigate complex ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design client-side and server-side architecture for graph-intelligence products

• Build visually strong front-end applications and well-functioning databases

• Write effective, secure APIs and maintain clear technical documentation

• Ideate software solutions with product managers and development teams

• Technically lead client solutions and contribute to product development

• Provide technical support for sales engagements and delivery projects

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software for responsiveness and efficiency

• Partner with data scientists and analysts to improve software performance

• Liaise with client technical teams and represent the organisation at events

• Execute with initiative and minimal supervision

Required Qualifications

• Strong Matric (Maths and IT non-negotiable) plus minimum one-year IT diploma including Java or similar OOP language

• Demonstrable Web GUI Java development skills

• 5–10 years as a Full Stack Developer with proven Java / OOP experience

• Experience with graph technology and graph databases

• NoSQL (e.g. Cassandra); Big Data & messaging (Apache Spark, Kafka or equivalent middleware)

• JSON REST API development; notebook environments (e.g. Jupyter)

• Ability to communicate effectively in English and grasp complex ecosystems quickly
