Senior Product Manager, Buyability & Selection
Job Overview
Amazon South Africa is building out its Retail Operations and Initiatives (RO&I) function in Cape Town and is hiring a Senior Product Manager, Buyability & Selection. You will own the selection funnel — the path a product takes from being listed to being purchasable, discoverable and delivered — and every friction point along it.
You will define governance mechanisms, build automation and drive cross-functional accountability that determines whether customers can buy what vendors make available: building the buyability defect taxonomy, intake mechanism and triage SLAs from zero, migrating manual processes to rules-based systems, and partnering with data engineering on the intelligence layer that makes the funnel visible.
The model exists in Amazon's peer markets; here you build it from scratch, with full ownership and direct visibility to country leadership. Ideal for a product or program manager with 5+ years' experience in e-commerce, retail or logistics who is fluent with data (SQL, Python, Power BI or Tableau).

Experience with Excel, reporting and data tools (Power BI, Python, SQL or Tableau) or using financial models and KPIs to drive proven business impact
