Solutions Architect

Evaluate and understand technology solutions; contribute to technology decisions and implementations. Translate architecture requirements into solution design artefacts such as architectural and context diagrams. Review requirements and sign off specs for alignment with business and IT architecture goals. Recommend improvements to existing systems and processes. Advise on design standards, technology stack, operating framework, data management, processes and tools. Ensure adherence to architectural standards and usability design standards; build best practices. Collaborate with technical architects on enterprise alignment. Present and explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders. Coordinate design activity between systems architecture, application development and service delivery. Conduct compatibility analysis and contribute to enterprise architecture vision. Develop high-level solution designs compliant with target architectures. Support development teams and stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.

Matric; minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; TOGAF certification. Minimum 15 years' IT industry experience. Extensive experience designing and implementing digital (web and mobile) and bespoke application solutions. Solid experience with integrated workflow processes, integration endpoints, outbound communications and MIS. Experience writing functional and technical specifications, process flows and source-to-target mappings. Extensive experience with SOAP and REST web services; data structures/ODS mapping; XML and JSON integration. Domain modelling and software architecture design experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication.
