You will balance hands-on coding with team leadership—architecting scalable Web, microservices, and VAS platforms while mentoring a high-performing development team through the full project lifecycle.
This mid-senior leadership seat suits someone with deep Java and .NET expertise, 10+ years in software development, and 7+ years specifically in telecommunication networks. You will own architecture quality, delivery timelines, and stakeholder updates to the HOD while staying current with Kubernetes, cloud, DevOps, and SRE practices.
Ideal for technical leaders who can articulate complex concepts to mixed audiences, thrive in Agile/Scrum environments, and ship high-availability platforms for market-leading telecom and public-safety products.
Key Responsibilities
Guide the development team through code reviews, work breakdown, and refactoring strategies
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous learning
Design and maintain high-quality, secure, scalable architectures (Web, Microservices, VAS) for telecom
Analyse complex requirements, estimate timelines, identify risks, and deliver high-performance solutions
Actively develop complex components and maintain existing codebases for high service availability
Provide regular updates to the HOD on progress, resource needs, and technical challenges
Stay current with Kubernetes, Cloud, and DevOps; implement CI/CD and Agile best practices
Mentor developers and set engineering standards across the stack
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
10+ years in software development with 7+ years in Telecommunication networks (protocols, standards, access methods)
Expert-level Java and .NET; proficient in C, C++, C#, and Python
HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (React, Angular, Bootstrap) and RESTful API design
SQL (relational/non-relational) and Elasticsearch (DSL, indexing, tuning)
5+ years with Kubernetes, Docker, and Cloud; monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Datadog, Kibana
Tooling: Git, Jira, Maven, Jenkins; deep VAS, cellular network infrastructure, and SRE experience
Strong OOP, design patterns, MVC; fluency in English; proven Agile/Scrum delivery
