Job Overview

Hire Resolve is recruiting a Technical Manager in Bloemfontein for a leading animal feed manufacturing company (CareerJunction 2646562; advertised at R60,000–R76,000 per month; advert valid to 26 November 2026). The Technical Manager brings strong animal nutrition, feed quality control and feed milling experience to oversee quality assurance, feed safety, regulatory compliance and technical support to customers.

Leading the quality team at mill level, the incumbent manages raw-material and final-feed quality control, implements ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards, ensures compliance with Act 36 and Act 101 and veterinary export requirements, maintains full traceability, supports biosecurity and Salmonella monitoring, and provides ongoing technical advice to customers – evaluating product performance, resolving complaints, training feed-mill personnel and contributing to research and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage on-site quality control of raw materials, including sampling, testing and standard analyses

• Oversee final feed quality control and in-process analyses

• Develop and implement ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards at mill level

• Ensure legal compliance with Act 36 and Act 101 and veterinary export requirements

• Lead and motivate the quality team; ensure safety adherence and complete traceability

• Provide technical advice and support to customers; evaluate product performance and resolve complaints

• Support biosecurity compliance and Salmonella monitoring; report monthly results and investigate risks

• Train feed-mill personnel and contribute to research and product development

Required Qualifications

• MSc or BSc (Agric) in Animal Science

• Registration in compliance with the Natural Scientific Professions Act 27 of 2003

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in animal nutrition

• Feed quality control and feed milling operations experience

• Strong leadership, decision-making, analytical and computer skills
