Software Development Manager

Own delivery of client software for a product-led technology organisation in a hybrid Cape Town role. Collaborate with product owners and internal stakeholders to deliver new functionality, reduce defects, and improve engineering processes. Manage recruiting for developers and QA; lead team leads across Ruby on Rails, Kotlin/Java, Mobile Development and QA; ensure continued growth and job satisfaction of the development organisation; streamline processes and ensure smooth running of infrastructure.

Higher degree or diploma in IT or a related field. At least 8 years overall experience in the software industry with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Experience in backend development and infrastructure (AWS). Recent experience at a SaaS or other product-based company advantageous. Strong people leadership, delivery ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
