CFO – Insurance

Lead the finance function for an insurance firm based in the Germiston/Johannesburg area. Own financial management, risk oversight, and strategic reporting across the business. Drive budgeting, forecasting, statutory reporting, and commercial decision support for leadership. Build strong controls and ensure regulatory and insurance-sector compliance while partnering with the executive team on growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities include financial planning and analysis, month-end reporting, cash and capital management, stakeholder reporting, and leading the finance team to deliver accurate, timely insights.

– Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CA, CFA, AGA, etc p

– 10+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in the insurance industry

– Proven track record of leading financial strategies and driving business growth

– Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting, and claims processes

– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

– Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

– Experience leading teams and developing talent
