Job Overview

Hire Resolve is recruiting a Head of Manufacturing & Production for an established industrial manufacturing client in Parow, Cape Town Northern Suburbs (permanent; reference 208511; posted 3 November 2026; apply before 4 December 2026). The role leads manufacturing operations across fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing, improving production efficiency while ensuring quality, safety and delivery targets are met.

The Head owns production planning, scheduling and capacity, removes bottlenecks, drives continuous improvement and waste reduction, coordinates Engineering, Sales, Procurement and Logistics so that materials, machinery, drawings and labour are in place, and leads factory managers, supervisors, artisans and production teams in a multi-project, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations across fabrication, machining, assembly and finishing

• Manage production planning, scheduling and capacity to meet customer deadlines

• Monitor production performance, identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions

• Drive continuous improvement, productivity, quality and waste-reduction initiatives

• Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Procurement and Logistics for efficient operations

• Ensure materials, machinery, drawings and labour are available for production

• Lead and develop factory managers, supervisors, artisans and production teams

• Maintain operating procedures, quality standards and health and safety compliance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum N5 tertiary qualification (engineering/production discipline)

• Proven experience in a senior production, manufacturing or factory management role

• Strong experience in manufacturing and metal fabrication environments

• Demonstrated expertise in production planning, scheduling and capacity management

• Experience managing complex multi-project production with competing deadlines

• Strong technical, leadership, analytical, commercial and problem-solving skills
