Job Overview

iOCO Infrastructure Services is appointing a Head of Solutions in Johannesburg (permanent; reference iOCO0195; posted 3 November 2026; apply before 2 January 2027). The role leads the development and delivery of innovative technology solutions, providing strategic direction across solution architecture, pre-sales and engineering for one of South Africa’s largest ICT services groups.

The Head of Solutions drives client engagements and presents tailored solutions to executives, builds strategic OEM partnerships, investigates and operationalises new products and as-a-service models, contributes to business-unit strategy and bid/proposal work, and approves hiring across solutions, pre-sales and engineering.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the solution offering and create the framework for solutions across the business unit
Meet clients and present solutions to clients, internal sales and engineering teams, OEMs and other BUs
Investigate new products and technologies and help operationalise new solutions
Provide technical account management for strategic clients; negotiate with executives and key management
Contribute to BU strategy with leadership and service delivery managers across lines of business
Build financial models for services and as-a-service offerings
Engage strategically with key OEMs
Support bids, services proposals and SLA/OLA drafting; interview and approve new solutions, pre-sales and engineering staff

Required Qualifications

ICT technical qualification – OEM-specific plus broad ICT knowledge (e.g. TOGAF, Computer Science) and management qualifications
BSc Computer Science preferred
Around 20 years’ function-related experience
Around 20 years leading teams and delivering projects
Strong executive negotiation and client engagement capability
