Job Overview

Amazon is hiring an Operational Excellence Manager for its South Africa 3P Marketplace fulfilment team in Cape Town (job 10595400; posted 3 November 2026). The 3P Fulfilment team owns the delivery promise for sellers across FBA, Easy Ship, Seller Flex and merchant-fulfilled channels, and this hands-on, deeply analytical role owns how well those channels operate.

The manager owns the operational metrics the business is goaled on – speed, reliability, in-stock and seller adoption – and the mechanisms and data behind them, working with ZA fulfilment and transportation operations, seller-facing product and account-health teams, worldwide programme teams launching into ZA, and carrier partners.

Key Responsibilities

Own core 3P fulfilment metrics end to end – definitions, data sources, weekly/quarterly reporting and variance narrative
Improve seller availability, in-stock rate, inbound lead time, delivery speed and fill rates with sellers and Account Managers
Run and document operational mechanisms – seller performance reviews, waivers, enforcement ladders and peak inbound appointments
Act as ZA 3P operations input into worldwide programme launches – requirements, cohorts, thresholds and enforcement design
Build and own the 3P reporting layer – dashboards and scheduled data feeds replacing manual pulls
Diagnose seller-, carrier- and Amazon-fault performance defects and drive fixes with owning teams
Own the carrier and fulfilment-centre interface for 3P inbound; optimise end-to-end fulfilment cost and profitability
Write business requirement documents and weekly/quarterly business reviews for senior leadership

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in operations, supply chain or logistics, or 3+ years managing, analysing and communicating results to senior leadership
Experience with SQL and advanced Excel; experience working with large, complex data sets
Experience in e-commerce, retail, advertising or logistics
Experience working directly with external partners such as carriers, 3PLs or vendors
Process-improvement experience (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) preferred
